The Road To Wealth?

In this part of the world, attaining a state in life where you can be called a wealthy individual is not easy to come by and as such, divers medium are being employed day in and out by individuals or groups of individuals to attain this status.Acquiring wealth via any medium is the order of the day and Africans are pretty good at that.

Research have it that the government in these countries have contributed little or nothing to reflect the dividends of democracy expected on the average citizen. In fact, the government is termed to be the cause of her citizens' impoverishment and of course increase in other vices in recent times.

Taking Nigeria as a case of study;the government decides to give her various States a bail-out fund. The bail-out fund is however disbursed by the government to the States;the state governors merry, party and plan on how to loot the bail-out fund;a serving governor then uses the bail-out to build own university;the government hears about it,uses INEC to allerge a dual registration issue to divert the attention of the Masses from the governor's university project;the monthly earnings of a politician is much more than the quarterly earnings of a professor in a university;a governor owes over 12 months wages, yet,he awards road contract amounting to billions of dollar;a serving senator who receives constituency allowances, what he does next is buy brands of latest cars and name it,bala1,bala2,bala3...bala10 etc

Nigeria is a comic country.Everyone laughs whilest hustling continues.Asked who is making who to laugh, you will be astonished the man in potbelly is making the masses laugh with his activities day in and out. This process is called political manipulation.

The businessman knowing fully well the demands of the politicans and how to deal with them kindly, goes closely to an aid who could be the chief of staff or the secretary of finance to negotiate on.Assume he is the busy type,he could postpone the negotiation to make it look more official, thus, rewarding. On seeing the stress the secretary of finance is causing him,he could increase his offer.OK,he finally gets the license or the contract after the necessary has been fulfilled, he doesn't stop till the end of the world unless he is ready to have his licence revoked. Now,he goes to other sectors to invest since he has a good relationship with the politicians. However, this same man is allowed to fix the prices. He makes more profits and gets loan from the bank to invest in other sectors. In no distance time,he becomes a rear monopoly and in formidable.Prices of his goods increase. The government gets aware but keeps sealed lips. After much criticism and protests, the government sets up a ten-man committee to look into this.

The masses(common man) would just wake up and come up with a plan. The question now is how do we survive?'One man can't employ us all as truck drivers;OK,fine!taxi driving is the next option;the bad road is damn unmotorable';some men in black uniforms aren't helping matters;the activities of unions are reducing the hustler's income by the day;the price of fuel could suddenly sky-rocket anytime.

Seeing those bottlenecks,a lazy slug could just decide sitting back and starts hacking phones of a governor in the western part of the country or even stealing some of his stored USD from his room(for a closed associate of the governor);or some sets of individuals called militants blowing up pipelines and performing all sorts of wonders in the southern part of the country.Or should we ignore the activities of a more deadly group in the northern part of the country?
